1-Month Intensive Leatherworks Training Cohort - 3

Sagnarigu Kukuo, Sagnarigu Municipal-Ghana

GEM-GHANA’s Leatherwork Training Cohort 3, delivered in partnership with Mashaallah Leatherworks and GEM Skills Hub at Sagnarigu Kukuo, targets 10 trainees with one clear agenda: turn unemployment into production. This is not theory—it is hands-on training in crafting shoes, bags, wallets, and other marketable leather products within one intensive month. The objective is blunt: equip young people with practical, income-generating skills and the discipline to build self-employment, not wait for jobs that may never come. Trainees receive technical instruction, mentorship, and exposure to real market demands—because skill without market relevance is useless. The reality is this—youth unemployment persists not only from lack of opportunity but also from lack of usable skills. GEM-GHANA is calling on NGOs, corporate institutions, and development partners to collaborate through funding, tools provision, and market linkages. If organisations are serious about reducing dependency, then investment must shift from talk to skills. Support this. Scale this. Replicate this.

7th Tamale Children Home Visitation

7th Tamale Children Home Visitation

GEM-GHANA’s 7th Annual Visitation to Tamale Children’s Home at Nyohini is not charity theatre—it is a deliberate intervention in a system where vulnerable children and their caretakers are often remembered only in crisis. Scheduled for Saturday, 13th June 2026, the initiative is an annual event on GEM-GHANA's calendar, which aims to provide essential supplies—books, detergents, soaps, and learning materials—while reinforcing dignity, care, and consistent community support. The objective is clear: move beyond one-day sympathy to sustained engagement that improves welfare, education, and emotional wellbeing. Because the truth is uncomfortable—many institutions rely on irregular goodwill, not structured support. This visitation also serves as a platform to model responsible giving and accountability, demonstrating how small, coordinated contributions create measurable impact. GEM-GHANA is calling on NGOs, corporate bodies, youth groups, and community leaders to collaborate—through donations, partnerships, and long-term programmes. Real change does not come from isolated efforts. It comes from aligned action. For partnership or collaboration on this event, call +233 24 720 6947 or email: info@gemghana.org If organisations are serious about impact, this is where participation must replace observation.
