A REGIONAL CSO WORKSHOP ON “Review of MTDPS, Budgets and Reporting Cycle of Selected MMDAs in Northern Region”

On the 30th and 31st of May 2024, our Executive Director, Samira Assabey Musah and our Programs Manager, Alhaj Darajaati Juunabia attended A REGIONAL CSO WORKSHOP ON “Review of MTDPS, Budgets and Reporting Cycle of Selected MMDAs in Northern Region”. on behalf of @Girls Empowerment Mission Ghana -GEM Ghana.

The training was organized by Women in Law and Development in Africa – Wildaf Ghana and SIGRA with support from Global Affairs Canada.

The training had other selected representatives of other CSOs and MMDAs and RCC in Northern Region, Mion District, Kumbungu District and Nanumba districts and taught participants key points on;

 

Gender Equality Index in all spheres of life in Ghana such as in Agriculture, Governance, landownership e.t.c.

Measures SIGRA is keeping in place to check and improve the effects of Climate Change adaptation, Gender and increase capacity and investment.

The context of Sex and Gender.

Gender Equality, Equity and Gender Responsiveness.

Budgeting and how to do Gender Responsive Budgeting for MMDAs and CSOs.

Analysis of MMDAs Budgets to see if they are gender responsive. A group work with a checklist and presentations made this very easy to hear.

Opportunities and entry points for CSOs into Budgeting by and for MMDAs
